Seventeen years ago three little Scotties were born in this household. I had just called the vet to say that I was bringing Drew in for help with her delivery, when she decided to do it all herself. She had been up all night and was straining. Finally at about 8AM the first little wheaten baby was born. Another one followed soon after. I thought that Drew was finished delivering, but about 1 hour later, a sweet little boy was born. It was exciting to watch her with her babies. This would have been their 17th birthday. Unfortunately they did not have long lives.
The first girl born, Tiffany Sue, lived here with her mom and Auntie Corky . The second girl, Lexie Lou, went to live with my daughter. The two girls died within a month of each other at the age of 8.5. Tiffany died from a bone that she picked up on a walk and Lexie had lymphoma. The little boy, Tory, remained with here with the rest of the crew. He only lived to 6.5 years. He died of renal failure.
The original Florida Scotties are all gone. The are playing, nicely I hope, over the Rainbow Bridge. RIP sweet babies.
