IN LOVING MEMRY OF LEXIE LOU

In loving memory of Drew’s second daughter Lexie Lou (Corkscot”s Put A Hex On You)- July 15. 1999- Dec. 23, 2007.

Lexis only lived a short time, but she had a big impact on our family. At the age of 4 months, she went to live with my daughter Michele.  Her brother  Tory missed her, but her sister Tiffany Sue  appeared to be happy to see her go. When Lexie came to visit, the two girls would sometimes have a tussle. It was always instigated by Tiffany.  Tory was the peace maker between them.

In November of 2007 Lexie was diagnosed with lymphoma. It was very fast growing as I had given her a haircut a few weeks before and there wasn’t any swelling around her neck. We took her to a cancer specialist and had started chemo. She tolerated the treatment , but went downhill very quickly.

Hopefully she is playing nicely with her sister, brother, mother, and aunt on the Rainbow Bridge. She is missed  here on earth by Michele and myself. 001

We had a neighbor who had a dachshund named Lexus and they called her Lexie Lou. Then they got another doxie and called her Mercedes. When asked why name her dogs like that, she said that “It was the only way I could get a Lexus and Mercedes”.

Michele picked out the name Lexie and the Lou came from the middle name of the breeder Betty Lou Breese. Tiffany Sue was name for one of my friend’s Scotties and name name for her middle name.

The three in the litter did not have long lives. The tribute to the third pup will be next month. The parents of the pups did live very long Scottie lives.
