Stuart was the first blog friend that we made several years ago. He introduced us to many of our current friends all over the world. We felt a kinship to him because his beginnings were similar to our Florida Scottie Corky. She was also unwanted. Stuart’s original people thought that his coat was not good enough for a Scottie and wanted nothing to do with him. Our Corky was dumped on the street to fend for herself. They both were wonderful dogs and a great representation of the Scottish Terrier breed.
We will miss seeing our friend every day on the internet. We know that he has been sick for a few weeks, but he made the most of his remaining time enjoying life. I started a cross stitch in his honor yesterday morning. It is now in his honor. We lit our memorable candle for him at 6:00PM this evening. The three Scotties paid their respect to our friend.
Rest in peace sweet boy. Know that you and your parents made an impact on many people.

He and Kyla are the reason that I started my blog. I never had a pet as a child and I realize that I missed out on so much. I just wanted to share my experiences with everyone.
Such a beautiful hand made memorial ornament! We are having a rough time here over Stuart’s departure to the bridge. We know he is at peace, and with Kyla, and all of his dear friends gone before him. Just so hard to believe he’s really gone, and our hearts ache so for his beloved Peeps. Grief is so wrenching in the early days. We have all been in that place, hardest place in life! Prayers for all of our furiends and Peeps in Blogville and extra doses for Stu’s dear pawrents.
What a sweet way to honor and remember him! How sad it is that all people can’t love their pets like we do. I can’t possibly imagine dropping any living thing off on the side of the road to fend for themselves.
I volunteered at the local shelter for 5 years and it was very disturbing to watch people dump their animals for stupid reasons. I now volunteer at the local library and have a wonderful experience ..
I love animals and I love to read, but I know I wouldn’t be able to handle a job at a shelter where I had to deal with the people dropping off their animals. I guess the only positive about that is that they at least brought them to a shelter.

It went out on his own terms. He enjoyed life to the fullest. Not many can say that they did that.

It really wasn’t positive for the larger animals. The smaller ones might be adopted, but the larger ones did not stand a chance.
