Today Shelby and i took a small road trip to visit Auntie Michele and her fur baby Rocky(mom’s grand dog). She Sophie has joined our household, Auntie Michele never gets an one on one time with Shelby. Sidney doesn’t relate to Rocky very well, plus he hates the car, and Sophie is Sophie. We decided that today would be a good day to visit. 004 Shelby headed right to the food and water bowl. You have to check 005these things out. No food in the bowl. She really didn’t think that Rocky left anything in the bowl.
Michele and I decided to leave the two of them and go walk in the nearby nature preserve- Green Cay. There is a mile walk and a 1/2 mile walk. Off course we did both.010016006017014
Luckily, it was an overcast day, otherwise the temperature would have been oppressive in the afternoon. The rainclouds started appearing and we decided to head back to Michele’s apartment and check on the dogs.018 Shelby was busy playing with all of the toys and they both were happy to see us. We stayed a little while more before heading back to the insanity.023024
Needless to say, Shelby was totally checked out by Sophie and Sidney. It is something that we will do again.

Michele usually comes up to our house, but Shelby never gets any time with her and Rocky doesn’t get any time with me. It worked out perfectly. There are a few nature preserves near her and it was fun.

It was really pretty. The boardwalk is elevated so you don’t have to worry about alligators. We did not see any. The birds were friendly. They didn’t always move out of the way. I had a great time.

The dog walking side of the trail is across the street. We did not go there this time. The weather has been horrible. Temperatures in the mid 90’s and very humid. They will have to wait for cooler weather(whenever that is).
