Obedience For Sophie

Sophie and i had our first obedience class this evening. The class was made up of mostly smaller dogs. There were two large dogs and the lady with the Shepherd stayed away from everyone. It was an interesting experience for both Sophie and myself. She is a very social dog and enjoyed interacting with the other dogs. I can’t say that she was very good, but it was better than I expected. We will spent the week trying to do all of the homework.007

Oh yes the homework. All my Scots went from puppy classes to their AKC Good Citizenship classes. Then they went into training for visiting nursing homes, hospitals and my last one with his personality and loving kids went into the reader dog program.
    They have great minds.

I remember the classes very well. Bentley was better in class than his mom who can’t tell her right from her left. She was always going in the wrong direction in class.

  4. Edgar

oh dear – Edgar was sometimes a whiz and sometimes a terror at puppy school. He was always bullying this poor little dachshund. There were times we barely got to the car before I burst into tears because I was so disappointed and embarrassed by his shenanigans. He’s an imperfect gentleman these days 😉

Sophie was definitely the most social of all of the dogs. I will not take this personally. Scotties have minds of their own. They are as trainable as they want to be.

Well Mom, thats a start, it took Bites a while to figure out right and wrong, and me bieng a rescue I was preety easy to get along with as I didn’t want to cause problems….Sophie will get there, After all she is a Scottie with a Scottietude!

Sophie has an abundance of Scottitude, but she did get along with everyone. I don’t think that they care about right and wrong. They do what they want to do.
