Corky

This is Corky the second. She is the namesake of Corkscot. I got my first Scottie in 1968 and named her Corky. When I rescued this dog in 1992, I knew that I would always call her Corky. She lived up to her namesake. They were both wonderful friendly dogs. They got along with two and four legged beings. You will hear more about the two Corky’s and the other Scotties as I navigate my way through the land of blogs.

I am Scot number three. The first two were identical. Everybody who me and had not seen me in awhile would ask how do you get a dog to live so long. I, Sweet William The Scot am the different one. But all three have been marvelous with other animals and peeps and even babies.
I got my first one in 1979. They are such loyal companions.

A Scottie was the first dog that I ever went near. I had a total fear of dogs and did not realize that a dog had approached me. When I saw the dog, I was surprised that it did not try to hurt me. I spent time with this Scottie and decided that I had to get one of my own.Corky 1 was the best thing that could have happened to me. I got over my fear and had wonderful companions for most of the last 45 years. More to come.

They don’t recycle a name. There will never be another Kyla in their life-another dog will have a different name. When they talk about Kyla, it will forever mean ME!

You are a cutie. We would love to be friends. Once you are owned by a Scottie, it is hard to get another breed.
